The Blue Pole Project

THE TURNER TWINS' ZERO-EMISSION RESEARCH EXPEDITION

Paul & Shark is happy to support the expedition and the Turner Twins, with whom we share the love for the ocean and an ethics of sustainability, together with a sense of adventure and the commitment to save the planet, our source of inspiration. The professional adventurers Hugo and Ross Turner are embarking on a sailing expedition to the Atlantic Pole of Inaccessibility: the most distant point from the coastline, a featureless, hostile and almost always remote location. During the expedition, the twins will work together with the University of Plymouth’s International Marine Litter Research Unit to conduct valuable research that will help build a long-term clean-up strategy for marine plastic pollution. From start to finish, the trip will be 100% emission-free. The hydrogen provided by TCP Eco will power the energy needed during each stage of the journey. At the end of the expedition, the duo will start a tour of 10 of the major UK coastal cities and will organise a series of activities to raise awareness of the health of the oceans and the planet. From beach clean-ups to Parley talks and Waterbear cinema: each stop will provide an exciting and enlightening experience for coastal communities, highlighting the importance of sustainability.

Let the adventure begin – have a great journey!
