For Design Week 2024, Paul & Shark is launching a capsule collection designed by the artist Bixio Braghieri. Through it, the brand is conveying its support for the worlds of art and design, while staying true to its DNA that is rooted in the sea.

The collaboration between Paul & Shark and Bixio Braghieri shares a key element: the passion for the sea. The sea, that has always inspired the brand’s philosophy and collections, plays a central role in Bixio’s life too. It is where he has chosen to live and the place whose ever-renewed nuances he proposes in his creations.

"The sea is for me the water for my watercolour." This is how Bixio describes his relationship with the sea, which we find in the blue of his watercolours, his painting and his creative expression. The blue that inspires his days and puts him in touch with himself and his emotions.

This shared ancestral vision of the sea is told through the limited-edition Capsule Collection, via an artistic take on the shark, the iconic symbol of Paul & Shark. Bixio crafts the shark using a watercolour technique with different tones and graphic versions.

"The collaboration with Paul & Shark was born in the middle of the sea: we are colleagues, because we tell colours, sensations and emotions." The collection will dress the painter's works of art, in a precious marriage of authentic creative acts.

Fabrizio “Bixio” Braghieri is an Italian artist who was born in 1967. His art is versatile, deftly and energetically ranging between painting, sculpture and installations. His works, which are filled with imagination, wonder and subtle irony, have been the star attractions in personal and collective exhibitions in Italy and abroad since the 1990s.
